Sustainability

Duurzaamheid

Sustainability is something that is becoming increasingly important. We only have one Earth and we have to be careful with that. Everyone has to do their part to be sustainable, but the biggest differences are determined by companies. Whether you have a small or large business, you can always do something about it.

We work with a printing company that works very environmentally conscious and we are happy to share the details about this:

- Chemicals

Unlike many other printing companies, we do not use chemicals in any way in the production of photo products. We produce our products on the basis of digital printing. In contrast to chemical printing, this is much more environmentally friendly and also ensures a healthier working environment.

Chemical printing uses Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylene, Methanol, Isopropanol and Butanol, among others. These chemicals are necessary for the printing, maintenance and cleaning of the machines. These hazardous materials pose a huge environmental risk that can not only lead to environmental pollution and global warming, but also cause workers in the printing industry to be exposed to various solvents in their working environment.

- C02 emissions

We often work together with suppliers from the Netherlands and preferably from the region in order to limit CO2 emissions as much as possible in this way as well. We have a large warehouse, which means that large quantities can be purchased. This limits the number of transports.

- Packaging

We use less and less plastic when packaging the products. We are increasingly using cardboard instead of plastic. We work with a supplier that supplies sustainable cardboard packaging. This is recycled material.

- Separating waste

Paper and plastic are separated throughout the company. Metal is also separated. We also offer employees the opportunity to return old phones.

- FSC paper

We use FSC certified paper for all our photo products.

- Residual material

Residual material is reused. Examples are leftover cork and plastic. Plastic is melted and then a new product is made. We minimize residual waste as much as possible.
